What’s an API?

The acronym “API” stands for “Application Programming Interface”. An API is a defined way for a program to accomplish a task, usually by retrieving or modifying data. An API lets you incorporate Fleetlog data into your own website or application.

How can I use the API?

To use the API, you’ll need a Fleetlog access token. You can create tokens for your production application without writing any code. To create a new token:

  • On login.fleetlog.com.au, go to Account Settings/API and select Generate access token. You may be prompted to re-enter your password.
  • Give your new token a name to help you remember its purpose.
  • Click Generate to generate the token.
  • Copy the token to your clipboard. For security reasons, after you navigate off this page, no one will be able to see the token again.

Remember to keep your tokens secret; treat them just like passwords
